Testing of Degradable Materials

Testing of Degradable Materials

Degradable plastics refer to a kind of plastics whose properties of products can meet the requirements of use, remain unchanged during the storage period, and can be rapidly degraded under natural environmental conditions after use to become environmentally harmless substances. The degradable plastics testing is to determine whether the plastics have the ability of rapid degradation and the percentage of rapid degradation. The management of waste plastics is a serious problem worldwide. Biodegradation test is carried out under simulated natural conditions, such as soil or sandy soil, or under specific conditions, such as composting conditions. By simulating the degradation caused by natural microorganisms, the final or most of the degradation products (carbon dioxide or/and methane, water and the mineralized inorganic salts of the elements contained therein, as well as new materials) are analyzed, and the biodegradation rate and disintegration degree of the degradable materials are calculated. Biodegradation rate is an important indicator of degradable materials and an important basis to reflect the degree of decomposition of degradable materials. Testing of degradable materialsProduct range: Film (shopping bags, packaging bags, agricultural films, fresh-keeping bags, garbage bags, roll bags, etc.) adhesive tapes, degradable tableware, plastic fiber products, polylactic acid cold drink straws, etc Test cycle: It depends on the test time selected by the customer (generally 60d, up to 6 months) Test standard: GB/T 19277.1-2011 GB/T 19277.2-2013 GB/T 35795-2017 GB/T 38082-2019 GB/T 38727-2020 GB/T 20197-2006 GB/T 28018-2011 GB/T 30406-2013 GB/T 33798-2017 GB/T 33897-2017 GB/T 37836-2019 YZ/T 0160.2-2017 ISO 14855 For more information, please contact our professional team:
